Treatment

The range of medical, psychological, and social services designed to help individuals reduce or stop substance use and manage substance use disorders. Treatment may include assessment, counselling and behavioural therapies, medication-assisted treatment, withdrawal management, and support for co-occurring mental or physical health conditions. Effective treatment is typically person-centred and evidence-informed, and may be provided in outpatient, community, or residential settings. Treatment aims to improve health and functioning, reduce substance-related harms, and support individuals in moving toward recovery and long-term wellbeing.

The majority of street drugs, in some cases more than ninety-five percent, now have multiple toxic adulterants. This research review brings to the attention of public health officials, addiction medicine specialists, treatment officials, therapists, and the general public the alarming increase of dangerous toxic adulterants being added to street drugs and their potentially lethal synergistic effects.

Family therapy is that treatment that is aimed at addressing specific issues affecting health and functioning. This is always very helpful to the families going through a very difficult period just like the families KYDA Rehabilitation Centre is working with, which are alcoholic families.  KYDA Organization social workers and counselors always do the activity since they have got experience in child protection and alcohol harm, behavioral problems and domestic violence in line with substance use.
