The American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence works with federal and state agency officials concerning opioid treatment policy throughout the United States. We also work with our partner, the World Federation for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence, with regard to international initiatives and working with designated agencies within the United Nations.
Trauma exposure and the subsequent development of post-traumatic stress symptoms (PTSS) or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) frequently co-occur with opioid use disorder (OUD).
Our two week in-person Summer School (23rd of June to 04th of July 2025) prepares professionals and students to meet the complex policy challenges that face Europe and the World in the field of drugs. Teaching staff include scientific experts from the EUDA, researchers, practitioners and policymakers.
