ISSUP Tanzania participated in the East Africa Youth Forum on Drugs (EAYFD) 2026 in Arusha, Tanzania, alongside youth leaders, policymakers, practitioners, and development partners from across the region. The forum provided a platform for sharing knowledge and strengthening collaboration on drug demand reduction and youth empowerment.

During the conference, ISSUP Tanzania delivered a presentation on the importance of ISSUP in promoting professional development, capacity building, and access to evidence-based resources for professionals working in substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery. The session highlighted opportunities for learning, networking, and strengthening the workforce in the field.

The forum also featured a presentation by the African Youth Representative, who emphasized the vital role of young people in addressing substance use challenges through leadership, advocacy , and regional collaboration. The discussions reinforced the importance of youth engagement in creating healthier and drug-free communities across Africa.

ISSUP Tanzania and Kenya had a short briefing on how they can collaborate.
