Lecturer: Candice Biernesser, PhD, LCSW
Behavioral health scientist and licensed clinical social worker, whose research focuses on preventing adolescent suicide, understanding social media experiences, and developing digital mental health interventions. She investigates the impact of negative social media experiences, particularly online victimization, and how these factors link to youth suicide risk. Dr. Biernesser has co-developed digital tools, like the BRITEpath, that support adolescents from underserved and marginalized communities.
Dr. Biernesser will close out “The Future of” 2025-26 Webinar Series with her lecture.
