The main duties will include recruitment of participants (HMPPS staff members and prisoners), data collection, data analysis, assist with intervention development and refining related intervention materials/resources, co-facilitate Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) groups, contribute to the ethical application for the pilot intervention, and preparation of manuscripts for peer-review publication.

Reducing Alcohol-related Harms through Physical Activity

The aim of this interdisciplinary PhD cluster is to develop an understanding of the relationship between excessive alcohol consumption and physical activity in reducing harms.

PhD Project 1: Development of a lifestyle physical activity intervention for women who misuse alcohol

PhD Project 2: Elucidating the relationships between physical activity, physical and psychological health status (including mood, stress) and alcohol misuse in women

The Temerty Centre for Therapeutic Brain Intervention (TCTBI) is seeking a full-time, contract Research Analyst.

Duties include but are not limited to the administration of brain stimulation protocols and other neurophysiological tests in addition to clinical and cognitive assessments of enrolled participants; independent participant recruitment, education and dissemination of information about studies to patients, families and mental health professionals, assessment scoring and data entry.

Addaction works with adults and young people, in community settings, in prisons, in residential rehab and through outreach.
